Exploring California and Nevada: Hayden’s Journey to SOAR

Recently, Hayden, a key member of the Wyld Peak team, embarked on a journey across the USA. Starting in Los Angeles after a brief stopover in Fiji, Hayden was invited by Savage Game Designs to attend the prestigious SOAR (Special Operations Association Reunion) 60th event.

This invitation, extended by Xuan and Larry Trimble, was a unique opportunity to connect with individuals who share a passion for history, and giving back to the veteran community.

Exploration Across California and Nevada

In addition to attending SOAR, Hayden explored iconic destinations across California and Nevada. From the fast-paced energy of Los Angeles and Las Vegas to the natural beauty of Fresno and the stunning wilderness of Yosemite National Park, this journey offered a blend of adventure and reflection.

Yosemite National Park: A Natural Treasure

One of the trip's highlights was visiting Yosemite National Park, where towering cliffs, serene meadows, and cascading waterfalls stood as a reminder of the importance of preserving both our natural world and the stories of those who have fought to protect it. Yosemite’s beauty highlighted the connection between history, nature, and the sacrifices veterans have made.

Meeting MACV-SOG Legends and Connecting with ARVN Special Forces Veterans

One of the most profound experiences at SOAR 60 was the chance to meet and spend time with some MACV-SOG legends. These are veterans whose bravery and dedication during the Vietnam War have become the stuff of legend. Hayden had the privilege of getting to know these individuals, hearing their personal stories, and learning more about their extraordinary experiences.

Additionally, Hayden connected with veterans from the ARVN, deepening the understanding of their role and sacrifices during the war. These moments of conversation and camaraderie were a humbling reminder of the importance of keeping history alive and honoring those who served. It reinforced our commitment to supporting veterans in ways that truly matter.

Building Connections with Veterans and Honoring Their Legacy

Attending the SOAR 60th event was more than just an opportunity to network, it was a chance to connect with veterans who have lived through and contributed to pivotal moments in history. These interactions underscored the importance of preserving their stories for future generations.

Through meaningful conversations with these veterans and other like-minded individuals, we gained deeper insights into the challenges they face and the support they need.

The event also opened the door to important discussions about how we can make a meaningful impact in the future. Whether through partnerships, community initiatives, or raising awareness of veterans' ongoing struggles, we are dedicated to ensuring their legacy continues to inspire and guide us.

Supporting veterans isn’t just about reflecting on the past, it’s about actively addressing their needs in the present and future.

Why This Trip Matters

Hayden’s journey to SOAR was not just about attending an event or exploring new places; it was about meeting extraordinary veterans, preserving their stories, and figuring out how we can best support them moving forward. From MACV-SOG to ARVN veterans, these connections reminded us of the importance of keeping history alive and helping veterans in meaningful ways. As we move forward, we’re committed to being part of that effort.

Stay tuned for more updates on our journey to honor, support, and collaborate with veterans and veteran communities.
